I have written, rewritten, and polished keynote speeches for sitting senators, retired CEOs, former national security advisors, cabinet secretaries, US ambassadors, a Hollywood star or two, Emmy-winning television showrunners, multiple NASA astronauts, one American president, one PGA Tour Commissioner, and a single Shakira.

There was even that time I served as the deputy chief speechwriter for the mayor of New York.  Ask me about it sometime.  It’s a good story.

Each and every time, I find it a particularly engaging opportunity to meet and match their unique voice, while also offering unique material to heighten and make the material all the more memorable — for their audiences and for themselves.

Speaking in public can be scary.  It is far less scary with great material.
